Conduit Office

Project Summary

Codex were delighted to work with Conduit on a complete rejuvenation of their office space to create a new and distinctive look to bring the building into the 21st century.

Codex worked closely with Conduit to develop a creative brief for the design and to identify the key functional requirements of the new office layout.

Using this information, Codex devised a colourful open plan workplace reflective of the brand which would scale four floors of the Conduit building and evoke a home-from-home office environment for the new hybrid worker.

The Challenge

Spread out over four floors, the Conduit building had to be scaled back to its original shell with all the original ceilings, partitions and flooring removed.

This challenging task had to be done floor-by-floor to ensure minimum disruptions to the staff as the project was completed on a phased basis.

As part of the planning, Codex needed to consider the technology requirements for the office which would impact on the layout as well as identify spaces for collaboration and creativity through the introduction of nooks, informal meeting areas and agile, unique workspaces. It was essential that the office was flexible and could adapt as the company continued to grow.

The Strategy

As the project would be completed on a phased basis while the office remained operational, it was necessary to manage all timelines carefully to ensure minimum disruption. As each floor was completed, the staff from the floor above were relocated to the new floor before work started on the next floor.

Strong project management was also required to bring all pieces of the project together within budget and the required timeframe. Codex maintained regular communication with Conduit throughout the project to ensure there was transparency over the project detail and progress.

The Result

The new Conduit office is an example of a modern, stylish and functional office workspace which will adapt and grow with the company. The colourful design creates a warm and refreshing environment while the carefully planned layout combines functionality with space for collaboration and creativity.
